Mens Pilates in Reigate

Hi just a quick reminder that we are still running Pilates classes for men in Reigate on Monday evenings.

These sessions focus on those areas that guys often neglect, or that suffer due to the stresses of work, i.e. neck, upper back and shoulders. But not only is Pilates great for de-stressing after a tough day in the office, but its also excellent to balance those repetitive movements of sporting activities such as golf or tennis & squash, which are focused on one side of the body. If your sporting activity is more balanced you will still find the flexibility and postural awareness that Pilates promotes will enable you to feel freer in your joints and thereby allowing for a more fluid movement; watching England’s rugby performance against Wales, clearly demonstrates how important it is to be agile in the world of competitive sport, no matter how big or heavy you are.

Thanks to those of you who have commented on what you’d like to see on our web site; we have taken on board your comments and will endeavour to try to provide the sort of things that interest you.

So far we have been ask for basic exercises with progressions that make them more challenging. Also shoulder exercises seem popular, so again look out for these, simple exercises but frustratingly difficult to execute well.

Boost Your Running Fitness with Pilates

Hi, Just wanted to update you all regarding the Reigate half marathon; I’ve been talking to the organizers finding out about entering a Body-Torque Pilates team; seems that we can do this, so once I have more info I’ll pass it on.

In the mean time there’s no better way to supplement your running/fitness training than to attend Pilates sessions; you can either attend one of our 30+ group mat class or if you want to work more specifically, why not attend a few 1:1 sessions and work on the equipment in our Pilates Studio.

If you feel you’re doing enough Pilates don’t forget Meta-fit interval training a great way to gain that fitness edge, short bursts of high intensity interval exercise, work at your own pace but work hard!

New Pilates & Metafit Courses Start this Saturday in Reigate

HI just a quick reminder that the new courses start from this Saturday morning 22nd Feb at The Bell Street Studios Reigate.

Classes start with metafit at 07.50, followed by Intermediate Pilates at 08.30, then we have improvers Pilates at 09.30 and we finish with beginners Pilates at 10.30.

All our other classes then follow on from Monday as per our normal timetable, if you have yet to rebook it’s not too late, but classes are filling fast so email or call to check availablity.

Beginners Pilates

Well done to all those who attended the first class of our new beginners Pilates in Reigate on Monday’s at 10.30, I think everyone really enjoyed the first class and hopefully are looking forward to this week’s class, having had a chance to practise some of what we covered the first week.

HI Guys just a reminder 7Oaks tri is only 13 weeks away so don’t let those New Year’s resolutions start to slip!!

Despite a stinking cold I will be running Metafit as normal tomorrow so come prepared with masks, and ready to work hard as usual!!

Extra Classes Saturday 26th October

Fancy an extra class this weekend?

Although it’s our half term break Rob will be teaching his usual Metafit class at 0750 this Saturday, and an extra Pilates class at 0830 at Bell Street, Reigate.  We still have some spaces available if anyone is interested.  The Pilates class is not beginner level.

New Reigate Pilates/Fitness classes

Just a reminder that the new Monday morning classes in Reigate are starting this week, if you missed the previous emails see below for more information regarding these sessions, both classes are suitable for all fitness levels.

New Monday morning Pilates in Reigate: This Autumn we are reintroducing the Monday morning Pilates class at Bell Street Studios, this will start a little later than before, at 09.30. As an Autumn special offer, this class will be just £6.00 for those booking this class as a second class per week.

Core-fitness: For those wishing to get fit or to shed a few extra pounds gained over the summer break, Rob will be running a new circuits based fitness class after the Monday morning Pilates session in Bell Street Reigate. This class will be suitable for all fitness levels, modifications to exercises will be given so that individuals are able to work within their range of ability, but encouraged to push themselves where possible, whilst still maintaining good technique and attention to stabilisation and control. Class will be charged at £9.00 or at £6.00 when combined with the 09.30 Monday Pilates.

Metafit Fitness test

Well done to all those who attended the metafit fitness test on Saturday morning; I have to say I was impressed by the technique, so well done to everyone; you now have a bench mark to test your progression after the course ends. Although everyone preformed well, a special mention goes to James who held his full plank with excellent form for the full 2 minutes.

Super efforts guys!!
